Daman Hiking
Daman is a small village, located 100 km southwest of Kathmandu, in Makwanpur district. It lies midway between Kathmandu and Hetauda on the Tribhuvan Highway. Situated at an altitude of 2400m, Daman offers an exceptional view of whopping 400km of Himalayan Range extending from Dhaulagiri in the west to Everest in the east in its entirety. There is a viewing tower with a telescope that lets you enjoy the wide panorama of the Himalayas.
Hiking, cycling and rock-climbing are some of the activities that can be done here. During the spring, forests are adorned with rhododendron flowers making those activities even more pleasurable. Also, in winter snowfall occurs in the nearby hills adding to the natural beauty of the village. There is one Buddhist Monastery, just half an hour walk from the village. All Trekking in Nepal offers a short hiking program in Daman. Please have a look at our itinerary below.
