Daman Hiking

Day 01 :-   A member representing our independent trekking guide team will pick you up at the airport or elsewhere within Kathmandu and bring you to the hotel. A short briefing about the whole program will be done. You’ll take a rest at the hotel.

Day 02 :-   We will visit famous historical sites of Kathmandu, most of which are listed under UNESCO world heritage sites. This includes Kathmandu Durbar Square, Swayambhunath Temple, Pashupatinath Temple and Boudhanath Stupa. You’ll stay at the hotel in Kathmandu for the night.

Day 03:-    We will drive you to the Daman hill station. You’ll be able to enjoy majestic Himalayan ranges and a beautiful sunset view at the backdrop.

Day 04:-   An exquisite view of sunrise against the Himalayas will start our day. On this day, we will hike around the village exploring the natural and cultural beauties alike.

Day 05 :-   We drive you back to Kathmandu. You’ll stay at one of the hotels in Kathmandu.

Day 06:-   Finally, the time comes to bid you farewell with a heavy heart but lots of memories to cherish forever and in a hope that we’ll meet someday again. We drop you to the airport.

Q. When do I visit Nepal?
Ans - Nepal is governed by the Southerly Monsoon weather system which brings heavy precipitation between the months of June and September, i.e. it rains a lot. Spring (March-May) and Autumn (September-November) are the best time to visit Nepal.
   
Q. Can I do a trekking in Nepal?
Ans - Previous trekking and mountaineering experience is not necessary to do a trekking in Nepal. If you are reasonably fit and enjoy walking, you can do any trek in Nepal. Normally the shorter treks tend to be easier whilst the longer ones often require a better standard of fitness.
  
Q. Where do I stay and sleep during the trekking?
Ans - You stay either in a guesthouse or a tent during the trekking. The most popular trekking areas like Annapurna, Everest and Langtang provide best sleeping accommodation. If you go to the restricted areas like Dolpo, Upper Mustang, Manaslu etc., you stay and sleep in a tent during the trekking.
   
Q. Are the foods and water safe to eat and drink during the trekking?
Ans - Yes, the foods are eatable and water is safe to drink during the trekking. All meals are prepared to high standards, fruits and vegetables are soaked in iodine before preparation. Most lodges serve boiled and filtered water, which is generally safe to drink, we suggest to put a drop of iodine to be totally sure.
  
Q. What is Altitude Sickness?
Ans - Altitude Sickness is also known as Acute Mountain Sickness (A.M.S.). It may occur when people ascend too quickly. The symptoms of AMS may be seen in our body after crossing 2800m. Headache, shortness of breath and possibly light-headedness are fairly common. Acute mountain sickness is very different and normally involves a severe headache, sickness and loss of awareness. Descending to a lower altitude will generally be enough to prevent any further problems. HAPE (High Altitude Pulmonary Edema) and HACE (High Altitude Cardio Edema) are the major symptoms of altitude sickness.
