Mera Peak Climbing

Day 01: We’ll receive you after your arrival in Tribhuwan International Airport at Kathmandu and      you’ll be transferred to one of the renowned Hotels. Overnight you’ll be staying at the Hotel.    

Day 02: Preparation with trekking and climbing equipments will be done with the guidance of a skilled trekker or climber. We’ll be preparing all the things as per our need. Overnight you’ll be at the Hotel.

Day 03:  We’ll have an adventurous 30 minutes flight to Lukla (2840m). As soon as you land you’ll see  marvelous view of hillsides surrounded by snowy mountain peaks. From Lukla, we’ll trek to Tukdingma. Overnight stay will be in a tented camp.

Day 04: We trek to Kharkateng from Lukla. Khartateng  is situated at an altitude of 3550 meters. If offers great view of mountains.  We’ll stay overnight in a  tented camp.

Day 05: On this day we’ll trek further to Chatrawa (3960 m). Overnight will be spent at a tented camp, as usual.

Day 06: We will continue our trekking till we reach Kotte. We’ll rest and spend the night in our tented camp

Day 07: We’ll be trekking along the ridge of Hinku Khola in the shadow of Mera Peak  . We’ll cross Gondishung  and 200 year old Gompa on our way to Thangna. Overnight we’ll spend in a lodge.

Day 08: Acclimatization day at Thangna will not just be spent by taking rest but we’ll be active and get freshen up for the upcoming adventures. We’ll go for 3 hours of hike to Charpate Himal Glacier that is treated to be holy by the Sherpa community. We’ll stay today’s night in a guesthouse.

Day 09: Trekking to Khara will give us the pleasure to view the north face of Mera Peak. We will cherish the campaign experience here as we’ll be climbing through the moraines and to the snout of the Hinku Nup and Shar Glaciers. Then we climb more steeply to our camping spot. Everything is going to be very interesting. We’ll stay in one of the guest houses.

Day 10:  Marching through the steep routes for about 2 or 3 hours, we reach the base camp of Mera Peak. Climbing guide will be giving us some ice climbing trainings and teach us some techniques that would be beneficial in the coming days. We will be resting today at the tented camp.

Day 11: Two hours of walking through rock-strewn area leads us to Mera High Camp.We’ll be staying overnight at the tented camp

Day 12: Today we’ll be preparing for the summit and the other thing we can do is to admire the beauty of such eye-catching views offered by the Himalayan area around us. We’ll stay overnight at tented camp.

Day 13: Today we’ll be reaching the summit. It will take just 4-6 hours to reach the summit for you. Once you reach you’ll certainly be moved by the pleasing view of such a lot of mountain peaks. While returning back we’ll be retracing our path to the base camp. We’ll stay overnight at the tented camp.

Day 14: After the successful accent we’ll have to leave the beautiful background of mountain. We’ll be descending towards Hinku valley to Kothe for our overnight stop.

Day 15: We will reach back to Chatrawa after a day long trekking. We’ll set up at tented camp for overnight stay.

Day 16: Today we’ll have a final trekking to Lukla valley which is served by Tenzing-Hillary Airport. We’ll be having last dinner in mountain area as we are flying back to Kathmandu the next day. We’ll sleep in one of the guest houses nearby.

Day 17: You’ll be flying back to Kathmandu after a long mountain journey.Then you’ll be transferred to a Hotel. You may spend the night at the Hotel.

Day 18: Tomorrow, you’ll be leaving Nepal so you can have a leisure day in Kathmandu. If you wish you can develop photos, do some shopping or just have sightseeing. For stay overnight you‘ll be at the Hotel.

Day 19: Your journey comes to an end today. We will drop you to the International Airport with heavy hearts in a hope that we may see each other someday in the future.
