Day 01: Arrival As soon as you arrive at the Tribhuvan International Airport Kathmandu, our representative will be there for you to receive and transfer you and your luggages to a hotel. There will be a room, already booked for you in the hotel. We will have a short brief about the tour program. Then you will rest at the hotel for the night.
Day 02: Kathmandu - Bhaktapur - Nagarkot We start our tour by visiting the places within Kathmandu that are of religious and historical importance. This includes Pashupatinath Temple which is a sacred temple of Hindu deity Lord Shiva. Then we move to Boudhanath, which is an ancient Buddhist stupa. It is the largest stupa in Nepal, and is also listed in the UNESCO world heritage monument list. In the afternoon, we take you to Bhaktapur, as its name translates - the city of devotees. It is also listed as a world heritage site by UNESCO for its historical importance. It is the home to numerous temples, shrines and monuments rich in art and architecture, culture, music and festivals. Lion Gate, Golden Gate and the palace of 55 windows are some of the attractions that we can't afford to miss. Our final destination for today will be Nagarkot. At an elevation of 2195 meters, Nagarkot is mostly famous for the panoramic views of majestic mountains including five of the world’s ten highest peaks viz. Everest, Lhotse, Cho Oyu, Makalu and Manaslu. It is considered the best spot around Kathmandu for heavenly views of sunrise and sunset. You will stay overnight in a hotel in Nagarkot.
Day 03: Nagarkot - Kathmandu Sunrise view from Nagarkot is even more spectacular that no visitor can afford to miss. So you better get up early. You can enjoy the panoramic view of the Himalayas to the north and the beautiful Kathmandu valley to the southwest. Along with scenic terrains all around, Nagarkot tower gives you the unparalleled experience of sightseeing. After having breakfast, we head back towards Kathmandu. In Kathmandu, we will be visiting Swayambhunath, the monkey temple situated on top of a small hill. It is among the oldest and most revered Buddhist temples in Nepal. Afterwards, we will move to Kathmandu Durbar Square - a complex made of several temples and structures including Kumari Temple. Kumari is regarded as the living goddess. Patan is another city inside Kathmandu Valley which is equally rich in the cultural heritage, arts and crafts. Places that we visit in this city are Krishna Temple, Patan Durbar (Palace) and a Buddhist monastery - Hiranya Mahavir. You will stay in a hotel in Kathmandu for this night. Day 04: Rafting and Chitwan On this day, we travel westward from Kathmandu towards Chitwan. After driving for two hours, we stop at Charaudi. This is the starting point for an exhilarating rafting over Trishuli river that lasts for 3 hours. After completing the rafting, we take lunch and then move forward to Chitwan. Chitwan National Park is Nepal’s first national park and one of the most popular tourist destinations. Your guide will brief you about the jungle safari tour. In the evening, you can enjoy cultural show where local Tharu people perform their cultural dance and music. In winter, we can light a bonfire to celebrate. Your night stay will be arranged in a resort.
Day 05: Jungle Safari at Chitwan Today is the day for enjoying Jungle Safari. Activities like jungle walk, elephant ride, birdwatching, canoeing, boating and village tour will keep you busy for the whole day.During these activities, you can get an opportunity to see the endangered animals such as one-horned rhino and Royal Bengal tiger. Chitwan National Park is a home to 544 different species of birds, making it one of the best birdwatching destinations. If you are lucky enough, you will be seeing a number of species of birds which you hardly get to see elsewhere. You will stay in a resort for the night.
Day 06: Off to the City of Lakes - Pokhara After breakfast, you will be driving to Pokhara (910m) on a tourist bus. It will take a total of 3 hours to reach the majestic city of Pokhara. You will enjoy the drive observing the roadside settlements, highway and landscape around. Your accommodation will be arranged at a hotel there.
Day 07- Trekking Begins After having breakfast at around 7:30 am we drive to Nayapul (1070m) on our vehicle. Our trekking begins from there. First we have an easy walk to Birethanti. We will then trek to Ramghai through bamboo forests and waterfalls. We will have lunch at Ramghai and move forward to Tikhe dhunga (1495m). The whole treak will take you around 5 hours. You will see the village settlements, shops and small market places on the way. This will be a different but enjoyable observation. You will be resting at a guesthouse there.
Day 08- Nearer to the Mountains This day, you will ascend to a significant altitude after a 5.5-hour trekking. The final destination of the day will be Ghorepani (2850m). On the way, we will pass through a Magar village of Ulleri, pasture lands, cultivated fields and freshwater streams. We will stop at Nangethanti for lunch. You are likely to meet many other trekking enthusiasts at this place because no one in this trekking area would miss this wonderful place. You will rest at a guesthouse there.
Day 09- Elegant Sunrise from Beautiful Poonhill You will have to wake early this day because we will be taking you for a hike to Poonhill - a hill that offers you a magnificent sunrise and panoramic view of entire Annapurna massif. This will be a great experience to see the mountains turn pale and shine with the rising sun. Heading forward on an 8-hour trekking, we reach Tadapani (2500m). Overnight stay arrangements will be at a guesthouse there.
Day 10- Hello Ghandruk We climb down to reach Ghandruk, a traditional Gurung village at an altitude of 1940 meters. Ghandruk welcomes a significant number of internal and external tourists each day due to an easy access to mountain views and Gurung community. After the trekking of 5 hours, you will be resting at a guesthouse at Ghandruk.
Day 11- Final day for trekking From Ghandruk, we climb down further to reach Nayapul (1070m) from where we had started our actual trekking. From Nayapul, we drive back to Pokhara (910m). The total trip will take us around 5 hours time. We will finally be resting at a hotel in Pokhara.
Day 12- Back to the Capital City On this day, we will have a 6-hour travel on a comfortable tourist bus to Kathmandu. You will be resting and observing the places on the way. You will be taken to a hotel in Kathmandu.
Day 13- See you again This is the final day we will be seeing each other this time. With the hope to see again and make it possible for yet another great journey together, a representative will transfer you to the international airport at Kathmandu. |
