Day 01: Arrival in Nepal
When you arrive at Tribhuwan International Airport in Kathmandu, our staff members will be there to receive you. A private vehicle will transfer you to a top class hotel in the town. After checking in, you can go out in the streets and dine at a good restaurant. The hotel will serve you with bed and breakfast service.
Day 02: Preparing for trekking with permit and equipment. Overnight at Hotel
Day 03: Fly to Juphal
On the second day, after having breakfast in the hotel, you will be flying off to Juphal. From there, you will be trekking for about four and a half hours to reach Dunai. Dunai is a famous place situated at about 2150 meters. It is also the administrative capital of the Dolpo region. At Dunai, you will be staying overnight in a tented camp. This will be the beginning of a great experience in your life.
Day 04: Fly to Jumla and Trek to Ghotichour
Early in the morning on the third day, you will be catching a plane to Jumla. Jumla is situated at an altitude of 2700 meters. From Jumla, you will have to trek to Ghotichaur. At Ghotichaur, the camp will be prepared where you can rest and get ready for the next day’s trek. Great food will be served by our experienced team of cooks.
Day 05: Trek to Chatra
From Ghotichaur, you will start another trek the next morning. Through deep gorges, hanging bridges and narrow trails, you will walk for about six hours to reach Chatra. Situated at a height of 2856 meters, Chatra will be a good spot to stay overnight in a Tented Camp. The altitude till now will be average but the glimpses of peaks will always be following you.
Day 06: Trek to Chaurikot
In this trek, you will be reaching altitude over 4000 meters, so every day, trek will be ascending upwards into more freezing air and barren soil. On the fifth day, you will trek from Chatra to Chaurikot. Chaurikot is situated at a height of 3000 meters above sea level and is an excellent viewpoint. Chauri, the name refers to Himalayan cow, and you might find a lot of them at Chaurikot. Again, you will stay overnight at a Tented Camp.
Day 07: Trek to Kaigaun
On the sixth day, you will climb another 250 meters and reach Kaigaun. At the altitude of 3245 meters, Kaigaun is another fine place to be at. The majestic view of the mountains from Kaigaun along with the interesting lifestyle of the people living there will keep you delighted. The night will be spent in a Tented Camp in Kaigaun.
Day 08: Trek to Garpung Khola
On the seventh day, you will be trekking to reach a river named Garpung Khola. It is a freshly melted snow water flowing down through the steep slopes of the mountains. Garpung Khola will be an interesting destination in this trek. Reaching such rivers once in a while is the attraction of this trek. At an altitude of 3285 meters, Garpung Khola keeps you amazed by its beauty. Staying the night in a tented camp on the bank of Garpung Khola is something that you will never forget in your life.
Day 09: Trek to Kagmara Phedi
Kagmara Phedi is the destination for the eighth day. After walking for about six hours from Garpung Khola, Kagmara Phedi will be reached. With an altitude same as that in Garpung Khola, Kagmara Phedi is brilliantly located and exceptionally beautiful. You will spend the night in a tented camp with food prepared by our team of cooks.
Day 10: Trek to Ringmo
Waking up in the tent in Kagmara Phedi, you will be ascending towards Ringmo through the Kagmara Pass. Ringmo is situated at a height of 3600 meters. From Ringmo, you can find the mountains at proximity, the Sherpa lifestyle and Tibet influenced way of living. Again, you will be spending the night in a Tented Camp.
Day 11: Trek to Phoksundo Lake
Probably, this is the most interesting day in the whole trek. You will reach the most beautiful lake in Nepal on the tenth day, Phoksundo Lake. Phoksundo lake is greenish blue in color and the beauty of this lake has been praised by every single person who has reached there. It is the treasure of the Dolpo Region. Situated at an altitude of 3733 meters, this lake will be something you would like to capture in your camera. And imagine staying in a tent camp on the side of such a beautiful lake, what more would you expect from a trek to the higher regions in Nepal!
Day 12: Rest at Phoksundo Lake
Phoksundo Lake deserves more stay rather than simply paying a visit and returning. And since this is the key destination in this trek, we have separated a day for enjoying the beauty of this lake. Not only the lake, but also the surrounding snow covered peaks will keep you tongue-tied. You can perhaps hike around the lake, enjoy the snow and the water. The day is all your’s, in the lap of the Far Western Mountains. Again, you will spend the night in a tented camp.
Day 13: Trek to Bagala Phedi
After having spent a full day around Phoksundo lake, you will have to move on towards Bagala Phedi. It is a trek through the Bagala Pass. After reaching Bagala Phedi, you will get time to enjoy the spectacular view from there. You will spend the night in a Tented Camp.
Day 14: Trek to Saldang
On the thirteenth day, you will be going to a still higher place. Situated at a height of about 3770 meters, Saldang is a settlement of Sherpas. It will take 3 hours for you to reach Saldang. From Saldang you will get even better view of the mountains and better insight about the lifestyle of the people residing near the Tibetan border. You will stay in a Tented Camp.
Day 15: Trek to Tarap
On the fourteenth day, you will cross an altitude of 4000 meters. A trek to Tarap will take you to the height of 4040 meters from the sea level. This will be the highest point you shall reach in this trek. You will stay in a tented camp.
Day 16: Trek to Dho
From Tarap, you will start descending. Dho will be the destination for the day. Situated at a height of 4020 meters, Dho is another nice place to stay in. Enjoying the Himalayan cool breeze and Far Western Culture, you will spend the night in a tented camp in Dho too.
Day 17: Trek to Big cave
Descending down, you will reach a height of 3600 meters on the sixteenth day. On this day, you will trek to a Big Cave in the area. The natural cave is worth paying a visit to. Inside the National Park area, you will find enough things that make you wonder about the nature and its boon on this part of the world. You will stay in the tented camp.
Day 18: Trek to Lahini
After the Cave, you will be trekking towards Lahini, a place situated at about 3200 meters. Walking in a flat trail until a gorge comes, it will be a path of wild flowers and plants. We will enter the gorge which has large rose shrubs and other wildflowers, and after crossing a river numerous times, the trail opens up to a flat expanse and onto Lahini where we will be staying for the night in a tented camp.
Day 19: Trek to Tarakot
Descending further downwards from Lahini, you will trek towards Tarakot on the eighteenth day. Tarakot is at an altitude of 2280 meters. The path is full of beautiful scenery and glimpses of native culture. In Tarakot also, you will stay in a Tented Camp.
Day 20: Trek to Dunai
Another renowned place in this trek is Dunai. After trekking for a few hours from Tarakot, you will reach Dunai at an altitude of 2140 meters. Dunai is certainly a pleasant place to be at because of the climate and cultural prosperity of people over there. You will stay in a tented camp in Dunai.
Day 21: Trek to Juphal
After staying in Dunai on the nineteenth day, you will trek to Jhupal the next day. It will take about four hours to reach Jhupal. Jhupal is the same place where you started the trek. So it will be your last day of trekking. From Jhupal, you will be flying to Nepalgunj. So, the last night to be spent in a tented camp must be important to you after all these days.
Day 22: Flight to Nepalgunj and then Kathmandu
On the twenty-first day, you will fly to Nepalgunj and then to Kathmandu. A good hotel will be reserved for you in Kathmandu. You can spend some quality time in the Valley of Kathmandu, and perhaps dine in a good restaurant.
Day 23: Leisure day in Kathmandu
On the twenty-second day, you will have a free time to spend in Kathmandu. You can visit some places that you would not want to miss in the Valley. World Heritage Sites like Pashupatinath Temple, Swayambhunath Temple and Durbar Squares in all three cities of Kathmandu, Bhaktapur and Patan may be the options for your visit. You can also buy some souvenirs to take back to your country from Nepal. Thamel offers you everything you would want to buy, all in an small area. Overnight at Hotel.
Day 24: Departure
After spending twenty two days in Nepal and exploring the rural corners of the country with a team of All Trekking in Nepal, you will be departing on the twenty third day. Our vehicle will transport you to Tribhuwan International Airport. With recommendations regarding our services and suggestions for further improvements, you will depart. |
