Annapurna Circuit Trek

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu and Transfer to Hotel. Overnight at Hotel.
On the first day, our office representative receive you at Tribhuwan International Airport (TIA) in Kathmandu upon your arrival, who will be waiting outside of the terminal hall. Then we drive to hotel and brief you about the program.

Day 02: Drive to Besi Sahar from Kathmandu. 6 hours. Overnight at Hotel.
We will be driving to Besi Sahar (760m) from the capital city by express local bus. You will enjoy the journey observing the scenery of beautiful landscape, rivers, mountaings and the settlements on the way.

Day 03: Trek to Tal (1700m). 6 hours. Overnight at Guest House.
The real trekking will begin from this day with a 6-hour journey to Tal (1700m).

Day 04: Trek to Bagarchhap (2160m). 5 hours. Overnight at Guest House.
You will continue to ascend and reach Bagarchhap (2160m) by the end of 5 hours trekking on this day.

Day 05: Trek to Chame (2670m). 6 hours. Overnight at Guest House.
We will be trekking ahead with more fun, more sightseeing and more interaction with local people, culture and environment.

Day 06: Trek to Pisang (3200m). 5 hours. Overnight at Guest House.
You will be crossing an altitude of 3000m this day. You might start to feel minor altitude impacts. Our final destination for this day will be Pisang (3200m). We will have to trek for 5 hours to reach there.

Day 07: Trek to Manang (3540m). 5 hours. Overnight at Guest House.
You need to get prepared for the next 5 hours trek on this day. By the end of the day, you will be at a majestic place of Manang (3540m).

Day 08: Acclimatization day at Manang
Having climbed up to 3540 meters, you will definitely wish to rest for a day and adjust to the altitude change. This day is therefore called “Acclimatization Day”. During acclimatization process in Manang, you will be able to see the Manangies lifestyle- Manangies are best known traders of Nepal since long. Together with it, rich natural flora and fauna, landscape observation and interaction with the people around will provide you a great Manang experience.

Day 09: Trek to Yak Kharka (4200m). 4 hours. Overnight at Guest House
After acclimatization in Manang, we will be heading ahead towards Yak Kharka (4200m).  It will be at most 4 hours walk easy and comfortable walk.

Day 10: Trek to Thorong Phedi (4450m). 4 hours. Overnight at Guest House.
After a breakfast, today you will reach Thorang Phedi (4450m). This is also likely to be a 4 hours trip. As each day passes, you will keep wondering more about the landscape, people, culture and nature and overall about this majestic place.

Day 11: Trek to Muktinath (3760m) crossing over Thorong la (5416m). 7 hours. Overnight at Guest House.
On this day, you will hit the highest altitude while crossing over Throngla (5416m). Very few get this chance to observe the mountain beauty from this point. It’s likely to get the blessed feelings on the way during the 7 hours trek. Our destination for this day will be the Muktinath (3760m), a holy place of Hindu and Buddhist people.

Day 12: Trek to Marpha (2670m) via Jomsom. 5 hours. Overnight at Guest House.
Moving ahead in the 12th day, we will be trekking through Jomsom (2720m). You will get to observe Tibetan influenced villages and Buddhist monasteries and differently special diversity appears at this place. We trek further to Marpha (2670m) where we will spend the night. The trek will take about 5 hours.

Day 13: Drive to Tatopani (1190m). 4 hours. Overnight at Guest House.
Finally our legs will rest for a while since we are going to drive to Tatopani (1190m) this day. It will be a tough drive through the rough road for 4 hours. We will be resting at a guesthouse at Tatopani- one of the most visited religious site of Hindu and Buddhist people for hot natural spring bath. It is believed that the bath will free you from all your physical and mental diseases.

Day 14: Trek to Shikha (2130m). 4 hours. Overnight at Guest House.
Our trekking will further continue through the settlements of Gurung and Magar people in the hilly area. Our resting point will be at a guesthouse in a small village named Shikha (1935m) after a 4 hours walk.

Day 15: Trek to Ghorepani (2780m). 4 hours. Overnight at Guest House.
We continue to trek uphill through the sub-tropical forest in Annapurna region and reach Ghorepani (2780m) after 4 hours. This is the most visited place by internal and external tourists who love to see the Annapurna massif.

Day 16: Hike Poonhill (3210m) and Trek to Tadapani (2685m). 7 hours. Overnight at Guest House.
You will be given a wake-up call by our guide before dawn because you will be taken for a hike to PoonHill for sunrise. Poonhill is a hill station that offers an exclusive panoramic view of all the mountains in Annapurna region including Dhaulagiri, Nilgiri and Machhapuchhre.  After the sunrise view and enough photographic session, we climb down to Tadapani (2685m).

Day 17: Trek to Ghandruk (1940m). 3 hours. Overnight at Guest House.
We go down  for about 3 hours through forest to reach our guesthouse at traditional Gurung village, Ghandruk (1940m). Ghandruk is known as a clean and managed village which has been preserving Gurung cultural and traditional heritages. It is also one of the shortest trekking destinations of internal tourists who wish to see the mountains whilst visiting the community and landscape around. 

Day 18: Trek to Nayapul (1070m) and drive to Pokhara. 5 hours. Overnight at Guest House.
This is the final day of the actual trekking. On this day, we trek down to Nayapul (1070m) and drive back to Pokhara (910m). The total journey will be of around 5 hours.

Day 19: Drive back to Kathmandu from Pokhara. 6 hours. Overnight at Hotel.
Finally, we will have to leave the western region and drive back to Kathmandu from Pokhara. Your tired legs and body might yearn for rest throughout the journey on a tourist bus.

Day 20: Departure to Tribhuwan International Airport for your onward destinations.
This is the final day of our togetherness. With so good memories, we will be saying goodbye to each other with the hope to meet again and create more wonderful memories. One of our representatives will drop you to the International Airport in Kathmandu for your onward destination.

- All Airport, hotel, pickup and drop service charges and all land transportation expenses by private vehicles.
- Two night’s hotel accommodation at Kathmandu with Bed and Breakfast plan. This will be a 3 star hotel.
- One night hotel accommodation at Pokhara with Bed and Breakfast plan. This will be a 3 star hotel.
- Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner and all accommodation expenses during the trekking.
- All expenses of a highly experienced, well trained and licensed holder trekking guide assigned for your service.
- Required number of porters (1 porter for 2 customers) and their accommodation, salary, insurances and equipment expenses.
- All permit charges, entrance fees and government taxes.
- Duffle bag, Sleeping bag, Down Jacket and Walking Pole (if needed).
- First Aid kit.

Q. When do I visit Nepal ?
Ans - Nepal is governed by the Southerly Monsoon weather system which brings heavy precipitation between the months of June and September, i.e. it rains a lot. Spring (March-May) and Autumn (September-November) are the best time to visit Nepal.

Q. Can I do a Annapurna Circuit Trekking in Nepal?
Ans - Previous trekking and mountaineering experience is not necessary to do a trekking in Nepal. If you are reasonably fit and enjoy walking, you can do any trek in Nepal. Normally the shorter treks tend to be easier whilst the longer ones often require a better standard of fitness.

Q. Where do I stay and sleep during the trekking?
Ans - You stay either in a guesthouse or a tent during the trekking. The most popular trekking areas like Annapurna, Everest and Langtang provide best sleeping accommodation. If you go to the restricted areas like Dolpo, Upper Mustang, Manaslu etc., you stay and sleep in a tent during the trekking.

Q. Are the foods and water safe to eat and drink during the trekking?
Ans - Yes, the foods are eatable and water is safe to drink during the trekking. All meals are prepared to high standards, fruits and vegetables are soaked in iodine before preparation. Most lodges serve boiled and filtered water, which is generally safe to drink, we suggest to put a drop of iodine to be totally sure.

Q. What is Altitude Sickness?
Ans - Altitude Sickness is also known as Acute Mountain Sickness (A.M.S.). It may occur when people ascend too quickly. The symptoms of AMS may be seen in our body after crossing 2800m. Headache, shortness of breath and possibly light-headedness are fairly common. Acute mountain sickness is very different and normally involves a severe headache, sickness and loss of awareness. Descending to a lower altitude will generally be enough to prevent any further problems. HAPE (High Altitude Pulmonary Edema) and HACE (High Altitude Cardio Edema) are the major symptoms of altitude sickness.
