Bhutan Central Tour
Bhutan is often known as “The Land of Peaceful Thunder Dragon”. Because of its remoteness, dramatic view of mountains, biodiversity, ancient Buddhist monasteries, unique tradition and cultures, it is known as the last Shangri-La in the world. Bhutan, previously closed to the visitors, now allows only a limited number of visitors in order to protect its fragile environment, unique culture and traditions. Because of this, Bhutan is still relatively unexplored compared to the other countries of Asia. The Bhutan Central Tour takes you to the important sites of interest in Paro, Thimpu and Punakha.
Day 1: Arrive at Paro airport Our team representative will receive you at the Paro International Airport. You will be transferred to a hotel that would have been already booked for you. After giving a short information about the program, we will be visiting the bustling local market. Our day will end at a hotel there.
Day 2: Paro sightseeing Our morning will start with alluring view of Rinpung Dzong. The first spiritual and temporal ruler of Bhutan (Shanbdrung Ngwang Namgyal) built Rinpung Dzong in 1646. You can have a look of Drugyel Dzong (victorious fortress) which is as old as the monasteries. It is 18 km far from Paro town on the southern side. Buildings erected for military force reveal the story of Bhutanese bravery who chased away the Tibetan enemies during 17th century. You will spend overnight at a recommended hotel there.
